Yetunde Chapter 6!🤩❤️

Pacing around, she wondered what was going on in Dayo’s mind. She wondered if he had the same feelings for her but blew that thought off, knowing that was preposterous. the Commander, her grandfather had been on her neck for quite a while. Asking if Dayo believed the lie set out for him, if he was going to fall for their plans, asking a lot of questions. As he spoke to her, the image of Dayo’s arms picking her up was etched in her head. Her imagination could be said to be running wild at that point. She wondered how kissing him would feel.

Wondered how it would feel to run away with him.

She imagined what her grandfather would say if he found out that she felt something for Dayo.

“\"Ọ bụ ụdị ihe mwute na gị, bụ́ onye a gwara ka o mee ihe arata kama ịrata ya.”

[It\"s kind of sad that you, who was asked to do the seduction instead of seduced.]

That would be what her grandfather would say before, without hesitation blowing her head off, or maybe setting her up like her brother?

Oh Ikenna!

She missed Ikenna!

In that second, the remembrance that she wasn\"t living for only herself flashed to her mind. She could not afford to start liking Dayo or even harbour a crush on this man.

She remembered something her aunt used to say constantly:

"Nwoke dị mfe ichefu. Otu nsusu ọnụ na ị ga-ekpochapụ ya na gị usoro"

[A man is easy to forget. One kiss and you will flush him out of your system]

She always regarded it as nonsense, never seeing the need to actually flush a man out of her system. Chioma was indeed beautiful and being a master in the art of seduction, it was no surprise that she got the men she wanted and even some more as icing on the cake.

This one man, her mind reminded her, she wasn\"t going to get

Maybe that was the reason she was so fixated on him. It was definitely the reason she sat herself down, the moon making a beautiful glow on her skin, under the palm tree devising how to get Dayo to put his lips on hers.

In her aunt’s words:

To flush him out of her system.

Waking up in your bed is always seen as something people should be grateful for, especially when you got very drunk you couldn\"t move the night before. As Yetunde stirred on her bed, she was grateful she was not bent over the toilet puking or sitting crying in one of the other rooms of the house missing Dayo, as that was all she did these days. She stirred, realizing there was a massive headache forming in her head she couldn\"t get over.

Groaning she turned in her sheets. The whole feeling of ecstasy about handling a drunk night relatively well\" immediately disappeared from her when she saw Mohammed’s face looking straight at her.

Moh in her bed? She looked at her surroundings.

Hold on a second.

This wasnt her bed.

This wasn\"t her room.

It was the spare room.

In horror, she had the motive to bolt up. It could be said that was when Moh woke up, he stretched his hand on her, slowly grazing her breasts, his arms touching her nipples. No, she wasnt naked, but the satin gown she was wearing could be seen as so thin, it was not a material. But hey? she was grateful she had a piece of clothing on her body at that point in time.

She pushed his hand off of her and stood up so fast one would think she just saw a real life ghost.

"Moh kilon.. kilon.. what are you doing here?"

[what…what..]

She said, at first trying to speak Yoruba but too flustered to even utter a simple Yoruba sentence.

He opened his eyes, pretending he wasnt awake an hour ago, just watching her, wishing Dayo death and thinking of how heroic she would see him when he accepted her as his. Even with the widow whatever.

All of that wouldn\"t matter when she was his.

"Moh, i asked you a question.

Yetunde said almost yelling at the point, what if they had gotten close and then she got dressed after? What was the assurance that nothing happened between she and Moh while she was in her drunken state.

Nene\"s short piece about women said they were the most fragile while they were drunk. What was the assurance she wasn\"t fragile around Moh? Shed be stupid to put it past Moh to see it as an invite.

"I dont know myself Yetunde. I\"m feeling a little groggy this morning." Moh said smiling wide.

But he knew.

He knew exactly what exactly occurred between them the night before.

Yetunde stood. Wondering exactly what was causing this bastard to smile. She was angry. And it was obvious she was going to explode at any point in time. She was not a promiscuous woman and Lord forbid she became the woman who slept with her husband\"s best friend.

She dug her nails into her cheeks. Trying to remember what exactly happened the night before. She remembered the drinks. The memories were hazy but she remembered the drinks.

\"How many percent alcohol are in this Moh"?"she remembered asking him

"Just a little, about 5 percent. Nothing to get you drunk" he had replied.

She nodded her head and gulped down the entire glass, pouring herself another. Hoping maybe they would get her husband to appear in her dreams that night.

She remembered feeling very dizzy after three glasses of alcohol. She remembered Moh coming to help her steady herself, gripping her by her waist to make sure she was balanced. She remembered his hands wandering. Roaming down to her thighs and drawing circular patterns. She remembered being disgusted by the feel of his rough palms against her skin. She remembered swatting his palm away and giving him a slap.

"What was that for, Yeye? i was just trying to help you steady yourself."

She remembered him saying that. She remembered replying and asking him to take his leave. She remembered telling him she was tired of his antics.

How did he end up in the same bed as she the day after then?

She looked up at him. Moh was staring at her. Probably wondering what was going through her mind at that point.

She, was full of rage.

She had asked him to leave the night before. Why was he in her house and most of all, in the same bed with her? Why didnt she remember anything? It was 5 percent.

With the way she turned to alcoholism in the comfort of her house to help with the loneliness since Dayo left, 10 percent wouldn\"t get her drunk. How come her memory was a hot mess?

"Moh i need you to get the hell out of my house.” She said, her voice slightly raised.

He looked taken aback by her words, but he did get up. He took his things. She wished he would pick his things up fast and get out. She didnt want to see him or visualize him in the same room she was. He got up, looked at her for a second or two and left.

She couldn\"t stand the way her mind was eating at her. Did she just cheat on her husband?

She stood up to lock her front doors after Moh left. Walking like the living dead her mind jumbled up wondering what exactly had happened the night before, It was no surprise that she wasn\"t aware when she kicked some bottles over.

She looked down at them.

She recognized them.

They were the bottles from the night before.

She bent down, turning them around. Inspecting them hoping they would jog her memory. There and then, in the bottom right corner of the bottle, she saw it. Written boldly.

ALCOHOL.50%.

What the hell?

Chioma had not come around in a while. Dayo had been preparing his men for war. The trainings had been rigorous but it was no shock that he wanted to get done with it and go home.

He had not seen or heard from Yetunde in a while.

He made a mental note to try to contact her.

The sound of ankle beads distracted him from his thinking.

She was here.

Finally

He hoped she was ready to spill the beans on the attack\" she knew of.

He was tired of his men questioning the source of the information and not understanding the reason for the rigorous training they had to go through and wondering amongst themselves, why he was even having some discrete meetings with Chioma. He knew they harboured these thoughts in their head but not one of them dared to say anything to him.

He sat, waiting for her to come into view. To reveal everything he wanted to know.

She walked, wondering if a kiss was what she needed to get him out of her system. If so, she was determined to get that kiss.

2 people, same meeting.

Utterly different intentions.
